Andrea Plaza is the founding Executive Director of Encuentro. She brings deep expertise in workforce development opportunities specific to immigrant communities, nonprofit management and immigrant advocacy. Together with staff and board, Encuentro is currently focused on expanding its workforce opportunities through increased digital skills training and expansion of its Home Health program, including the construction of New Mexico’s first Home Health Aide Training Center. Andrea’s lifelong commitment to Albuquerque’s Spanish-speaking community and her vision for education and economic empowerment make her an ideal steward of Encuentros mission.
