Carrie Felton is a Program Director at Shift Work Forward, where she leads efforts to transform career navigation and training systems to create more equitable pathways to good jobs. She brings more than twenty years of experience across workforce development, anti-poverty advocacy, and direct social work, grounded in a deep understanding of the barriers workers and job seekers face in navigating education and career systems.
Carrie’s work focuses on centering workers’ needs and bringing together workforce organizations, education and training providers, and industry leaders to drive coordinated policy and practice change. Her leadership is informed by years of working directly with individuals and families striving for economic stability and mobility, as well as experience strengthening institutions and programs to better support them. Carrie works closely with Network Partners and local stakeholders to ensure that workers and learners can choose their career paths — and that outcomes are not determined by race or background.
