Leah is the Senior Manager of Community Impact & Engagement at the United Way of Central & Northeastern Connecticut, where she leads workforce and systems-change initiatives that connect employers, workers, educators, and government to build a more equitable economy. As Human-Centered Design Coach and Program Manager for Shift Work Forward’s Centering Workers in Job Design initiative, she partnered with three healthcare employers to help frontline workers co-design solutions that improve job quality, strengthen organizations, and advance worker voice. Over the past year, Leah has helped shape Connecticut’s emerging clean economy workforce strategy in partnership with the state’s Office of Workforce Strategy, supporting the development of a statewide sector partnership framework and the Connecticut Clean Economy Council. She also supported the Office of Early Childhood Action Research Partnership in developing recommendations to advance pay parity between early childhood educators and K–12 educators, helping inform long-term workforce and compensation strategies.
