Dr. Shantá Robinson is the Senior Research Director at the Inclusive Economy Lab and a Research Associate at the University of Chicago. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, where her scholarship focused on the academic experiences of marginalized students, systemic inequities in resource allocation, and the socio-historical dynamics of K12 institutions. A former teacher, Dr. Robinson brings firsthand experience to her research on the educational journeys and aspirations of youth facing economic and housing instability. Her work is committed to qualitative methodologies and to intersectional examinations of what she entitles schooling problems and the problems of schooling.
