Workforce training organizations increasingly rely on technical assistance (TA) to strengthen on the ground practice, especially as staff are asked to do more with fewer resources. Yet TA providers often rely on assumptions about staff challenges or default to familiar “tried and true” solutions that aren’t grounded in data or evidence. What if TA began by deeply understanding the perspectives of frontline staff and participants, then used evidence about what works to co-design tailored solutions? This session introduces MDRC’s “Evidence to Practice” (E2P) approach, which embraces these principles and guides participants through a more effective, evidence driven TA process.
