Step into Plaza Justicia, a shared space where community organizations and labor come together to build worker power in Bernalillo County. This on-site experience brings you inside Power Up Bern Co!, where Organized Power In Numbers and OLÉ Education Fund partner with UA Local 412 to create pathways into apprenticeship and family-sustaining careers. You’ll see how accessible pathways are created for immigrants, women, and systems impacted people to enter and sustain union careers. Through wraparound supports, including childcare, transportation, and immigration legal services, paired with intentional leadership development, this model not only supports success but cultivates workers as leaders in the movement for worker power. The result is expanded access to generational wealth-building opportunities and a stronger workforce ecosystem.
Important: Attendance is limited to 30 participants. Advance registration opens in early September and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation will be provided to and from the on-site visit. An elevator is available.
